Tourism Facilities According to the statistics of the province of Zonguldak for the year 2020, there is a total of 3,206 bed capacity throughout the province and the details are given below. There are one 5-star, 3 4-star and 5 3-star facilities, 4 2-star facilities, 2 one-star facilities, 1 pension in the province. There are 27 municipality certified facilities, 727 rooms and 1,440 beds, 16 facilities with tourism operation certificates, 873 rooms and 1,766 beds, 2 facilities with investment certificates, 250 rooms and 546 beds.
Accommodation Statistics There is an increasing momentum in tourism in the province every year. Before the pandemic, the number of arrivals to the facility in Zonguldak province in 2019 approached 240 thousand. This figure is around twice the number of arrivals to the facility in 2002. The rate of foreigners in the number of arrivals to the facility is at the level of 5%. The number of overnight stays reached 400 thousand in the same year.
There has been a significant increase in total overnight stays after 2012, and this increase has been higher for the last 3 years. There are four nature parks in Zonguldak: Danaağzı (56 ha), Göldağı (13.9 ha), Milli Egemenlik (48.91 ha) and İncüvez Pine grove (13.64 ha). There are also two Natural Monuments, Gümeli (249 ha) and Harmankaya Waterfalls (148 ha).
