The city of Zonguldak expresses an identity that develops on coal-labor. Yayla Mahallesi, which is a different settlement with its natural structure, historical background and cultural characteristics, is a region that should be preserved in Zonguldak's neighborhood scale and carried to the future. The quarter has been declared as an urban protected area.
